Composer/saxophonist unveils original songs inspired by Emily Dickinson's poetry
The lush, intriguing sounds of the Seth Ebersole Quartet will flow through Mickey's Black Box in Rock Lititz on Sunday, Feb. 15 to kick off the fourth season of the "Fresh Takes on Jazz" concert series.
The original songs, inspired by the poetry of Emily Dickinson, will be from Seth's latest recording, "Dear Emily," released in December.
Seth, 32, a saxophonist with the USAF big band, the Airmen of Note, is a Berks County native who earned a bachelor's degree from Temple University and a master's degree from Michigan State.
"Fresh Takes" is a nonprofit concert series that spotlights exceptional musicians ages 20-35 whose bands are new to Lancaster County and perform original songs. The series is presented by Mickey's Black Box and Music For Everyone.
