Emerging Women Composers in Concert: Laura Lizcano Trio

This monthly concert series, the first of its kind in southcentral PA, concludes with the Laura Lizcano
Trio.
Laura Lizcano is a Colombian-born singer-songwriter based in New York City. Influenced by artists such as Norah Jones, Natalia Lafourcade and Caroline Shaw, Laura combines her formal training as a jazz vocalist with her love of folk, pop and contemporary classical music. Laura, 28, grew up in Central Pennsylvania and earned a bachelor’s degree in jazz studies from Temple University. In October of 2022, she released her second studio album, Daughter of the Sea, which is now available on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms. Lora will be available to talk about her work and her career at a “Meet the Composer” reception following the concert.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of show, $10 for students.
