The Artisan Mill
Just Outside of Town, A Destination
Here in Lititz, we’re suckers for giving old buildings new lives. From the Wilbur Hotel to the Lititz Shirt Factory, we embrace projects that take old treasures and make them new again. The Artisan Mill Co. is no exception.
Take Main Street west and one mile outside of our downtown you’ll come upon it, a fully restored 1800s watermill. One look at the building and you’ll be awed by the craftsmanship of its original builders, and its restorers. One step inside and you’ll be inspired by the craftsmanship of the over 125 small businesses who sell their wares within its walls.
The Artisan Mill Co. is a collective of local makers, expertly curated by owners, Ian and Ashley Gantz. Ian and Ashley opened Artisan Mill Co. in November, 2020. They knew small businesses took a hard hit through Covid and wanted to help. Lititz was an obvious choice for their location. They embrace the love local movement and grew up here in and around Lititz.
Two years after opening, and Artisan Mill Co. has grown from 50 small businesses to 125. As Ashley says, “From soap, to jewelry, to home goods to wood- there’s a wide variety of goods for everyone. And if you have been here before, everyone has a different favorite booth. Booths change with the seasons and holidays.”
Also added since opening? Inna’s Pierogis and Compass Mill Tap House have joined the campus, making the site a well-rounded destination, a perfect add-on to your Lititz itinerary!
When Ian and Ashley aren’t at the shop, you’ll find them at the hockey rink. Both of their sons and Ian play ice hockey.
