Lititz Itineraries | Downtown Lititz

Family Fun Itinerary

Bringing along young family members? Lititz has so many awesome options for the littlest members of your crew! Here’s what we like to do:

Start the day off with a special twist: Visit Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery and learn about America’s first commercial pretzel bakery. Book a 25-minute tour and you’ll even learn how to twist a pretzel!

After Julius Sturgis, cross the street and soak up all the beauty of Lititz’s Church Square. This leafy green location is great for photo ops!

Then, head back across the street for a visit to the Lititz Museum and gift shop. You can learn all about Lititz’s past, including our Revolutionary War hospital and how we began as a closed Moravian Community. Passionate history buffs can even book a Main Street walking tour with the amazing folks at the Lititz Historical Foundation and take a deep dive into a much fuller telling of our history.

Next, keep heading west on Main Street (this is all an easy walk for most kiddos). Once. you cross over Cedar Street, you’ll find a place local kids love – Candy*ology. This candy store offers all the trendiest candies of today and delivers a nod back in time with a selection of retro candies. So. Much. Fun!

Other shops kids love: Sweet Legacy GourmetAaron’s BooksBunyaad Marketplace – ask about their special rug tunnels!, and Wilbur Chocolate on North Broad Street.

Hungry families can fill their bellies at a whole list of great restaurants, including Tomato Pie CafeChilangos, and, for parents in need of a pint, Appalachian Brewing Company and The Bulls Head Public House.

Of course no trip to Lititz is complete without feeding our famous ducks. Lititz Springs Park is a beautiful place to run off some steam, giggle at feathered friends, and take your turn on the swings!

Need one last treat before heading home? Just across from the park, on Kleine Lane, is Greco’s Italian Ices and Homemade Ice Cream – sure to make every member of the family smile!

More fun nearby:

Dutch Wonderland – An award-winning amusement park for younger kids

Middle Creek Wildlife Management – Learn about local wildlife at the visitor’s center and then take a scenic hike.
