Emerging Women Composers in Concert: Gosia Julia Maj

Gosia Julia Maj is a jazz singer, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist with a soulful voice and
sophisticated style. A native of Poland who lives in the Netherlands and U.S., the versatile 33 year old has recorded with trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, tenor saxophonist Don Braden and many other jazz luminaries. Gosia, who attended University of the Arts as an undergrad, is enrolled as a Fulbright scholar at Temple University, where she will receive a master’s in jazz studies in May.
Gosia will be available to talk about her work and her career at a “Meet the Composer” reception
following the concert. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of show, $10 for students.
